Get Living - Ashley McIntosh

90% of women dislike the size and shape of their bodies, and 70% are dieting to lose weight. When one looks at the billions of dollars spent on this industry each year, it is clear that dieting has been normalized in our culture.

Dieting is NOT normal and doesn’t even work – 95% of all dieters regain their lost weight within 5 years.

Dieting does not have to be your way of achieving the body you want.

With a deep passion to help women and girls reacquaint their relationships with food and their bodies, I am here to help you achieve health the right way…by discovering the fun and play in life, the pleasure in food and through stopping the endless quest for perfection.

If you don’t like what you’re eating then you’ll keep eating more to feel satisfied.  Life is too short to diet – to eat right…you have to love what you eat .

Radio Interview: In this 30 minute segment, listen to Ashley’s explanation of Intuitive Eating. Listen now > (MP3)

“In a society obsessed with fad diets and food 'tricks' I had become confused and unsure about what was 'good' for my body.  Ashley helped me establish a healthy relationship with food in a physical, mental, and emotional way.

As I  clear away my very loud emotional blocks connected with food I am finding that my body will tell me exactly what it needs if I listen.  I am relearning how to communicate with my body. I have found that working externally on my food choices while simultaneously looking internally at the root of my food fears is leading me more and more towards a harmonious balance in my life.

Working with Ashley has been invaluable in improving the overall quality of my life.”
